This article covers the process to manage countered or pre-approved applications after the countered or pre-approved offers have been sent to the applicants for review.
These applications can be found in the "Countered and Pre-Approved" section.
Stage 1. Countered and Pre-Approved: Pending Acceptance
Send a reminder to the applicant
Generally, the loan officer does not need to take any action as they wait for the applicant to respond to the offer. Sometimes, the loan officer may find it necessary to send a reminder.
A reminder can be sent by clicking the envelope icon on the Applications page or using the "REMINDER" button on the individual application page.
2. Mark the application as expired
If the applicant does not respond before the offer expires, the loan officer can move the application to "Not Under Review - Expired" by using the "EXPIRED" button on the individual application page:
Stage 2. Countered and Pre-Approved: Ready for Final Approval
If the applicant accepts the offer, the application will automatically move from the "Pending Acceptance" to the "Ready for Final Approval" page.
Clicking the "Approved" button on the individual application page sends this application to "Under Review - Ready for Notification" page, where the closing document is generated. The rest of the process will be identical to an approved application.
