Partners Review: How to Add, Update, and Deactivate Referral Partners

Types of Referral Partners

The "Partners" pages include 3 types of referral partners: Counselors, Employers, and Vendors.  

Counselors have their dedicated portal on Happy Mango.  Counselor accounts are created by the counselors.  They can also be directly selected by an individual or small business user on Happy Mango as a trusted advisor for application and loan related matters.  If selected, the counselor can have view access to the individual or small business' financial picture captured and activities performed on Happy Mango. Counselor's information is entered and updated by counselors themselves.  An institutional user cannot edit counselor information. 

Employers and Vendors do not have their dedicated portal on Happy Mango.  They receive email notifications and updates on borrowing activities that concern their referred borrowers, such an employee or a customer.  The institutional user is responsible for adding and maintaining their profiles on Happy Mango. 

Permanently Delete an Existing Partner

The last icon in the "Action" column, if confirmed, will permanently remove an existing partner from the platform.   

Activate or Deactivate a Partner

The second to last icon in the "Action" column is a red-green switch that can activate or deactivate a partner.  We recommend using the "Deactivate" function, instead of the "Remove" function. 

Link Products to a Partner

To select and link products to a referral partner, click the "Link products" icon in the Action column.  The pop-up window displays all products on Happy Mango, with the inactive products grayed out.  Make sure to click on "SAVE" after checking the products to be linked to a referral partner.  

Edit Partner Information

Only the information for Employers and Vendors can be edited.  Click the "Edit" icon to open a pop-up presenting the partner's information in editable fields.  Make sure to click "SUBMIT" to save the changes.
